| YAKETY-SAK LAUNCHES PUNCHLINE™,THE ONLY GREETING CARD AND GIFT BAG IN ONE | | Receiving gifts will never be the same | January 9, 2008 – PunchLine is the only gift bag that is also a greeting card… and it talks! It’s the hottest item to hit the gift market in years.
The artwork on a PunchLine bag is that of a greeting card. However, instead of consumers opening a greeting card and reading a message, they open a PunchLine gift bag and a message (the “punchline”) is spoken. Themes range from traditional wishes (birthdays) to zany greetings (“girls want to have fun” and “you’re still hot”). A total of 16 designs will be launched in January. Retailers can place orders with their Yakety Sak sales representative or online at www.onecoast.com.
PunchLine Product Manager Lisa Wohlhart states “I have worked in the giftware industry for 11 years and have never seen a product as revolutionary as PunchLine. Everything is included with one simple purchase. You not only get the gift bag, the greeting card and the tissue…it’s also entertaining. I expect it to be the hit at any gift-giving occasion and that consumers will love it.”
Gift Givers save money with PunchLine
PunchLine is a complete gift giving package. It comes with coordinating tissue paper and a “To & From” hangtag. The Gift Bag is less than the components of the typical wrap purchase when added up -- a musical greeting card ($5+), gift bag ($3+) and tissue paper ($1.50+).
The PunchLine bag messages are pre-recorded. The bagscome in medium (8”x10”x 4”) and large (12.5” x 10.25” x 6”) sizes. Retail suggested prices are $7.50 for the medium bags and $9.50 for the large bags.
An adjustable floor rack which holds 80-100 bags is available to retailers. The floor rack resembles a greeting card displayer and contains occasion cards (Birthday, Love) to help call out the gift giving occasion.
The product will debut in the AmericasMart Atlanta International Gift & Home Show in early January at the OneCoast showroom, Building 2, Suite 1800.
